Exciting news!

We had an ultrasound done last week, and found out that we are expecting twins! They should arrive sometime mid to late April depending on how early they are born. My actual due date is May 5, 2012. This is a double blessing for our family and we are very excited! Please pray for us and our new babies. Thank you!

Has anyone every clearly explained for you WHY the Catholic Church does not approve of unnatural birth control? For most of us, the answer is NO. Did you know that all Christian Churches up to 1930 taught that contraception was morally unacceptable to plan your family? Did you know that the birth control pill can act to cause an early chemical abortion in any woman in any cycle? Learn about your faith and discover a natural method of family planning!

Conjugal Love Receives a “Higher Value” through Natural Family Planning

Here is the first paragraph of this great article from HLI America by Christopher J. Stravitsh:

“The honorable practice of regulating birth rate…which is proper to the purity of married couples, far from harming conjugal love, rather confers on it a higher value” (Humanae Vitae, n. 21).

The growing number of “NFP couples” indicates that many couples find truth and encouragement in Paul VI’s words and in their practice of Natural Family Planning. Intuitively they have experienced the “higher value” that is conferred on their conjugal love through the “honorable practice of regulating birth.”

Institute of Medicine recommends mandating a Culture of Death

Mike Manhart, CCL's Executive Director, commented on the newest attempts by the Institutes of Medicine to mandate contraception and sterilization as "necessary preventative care" in this blog post.
Here is an excerpt from his blog post:

This is the latest example of government imposition of a world view that is completely counter   to what we hold as Catholics to be true. If this is enacted, every Catholic institution would be forced to  provide insurance to cover contraception (including emergency contraception that causes abortion) or face the prospect of being in violation of federal law. As individuals, we will have no choice in the  matter. Our “choice” will be to have health insurance for our families and therefore support (via our premium payments) that which is against the core truths we believe, or go without health insurance.

It's NFP Awareness Week!

Remember to spread the good news about God's plan for love and sexuality! Tell others about NFP and how it has benefited your marriage!

Fr John Flader: contraception changes the marital act

This is a short, concise, and clear explanation of the difference between NFP and contraception.

Overpopulation Myth

This is a really interesting article which talks about some of the horrible offenses against human rights in the name of 'population control' in developing countries. "The excessive use of force in the pursuit of a population control agenda extends to numerous developing countries around the world." Countries discussed include Indonesia, Peru, Mexico, Kenya, China, and the Phillipines. Very Sad.
